Hi, I am William Meyer, the friendly face you see behind the counter from time to time. At JBAR, my responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, procurement, product development, and so much more. I feel as if most people see JBAR as a meat market, when in reality the bulk of our business is supplying our delicious products nationwide through restaurant supply companies and private label partners. If our customers have an idea, my passion is to bring it to life with my knowledge of meat and food science. At home, I am married to my incredibly talented and beautiful wife, Audrey. Together, our passions include our precious daughter Reece, our cow-calf operation, and our livestock service business. Together, we raise both purebred and commercial cattle and provide unique services to area ranchers to increase profitability within their operations. Whether at J Bar or on the farm, my passion is knowledge. Specifically, continually learning the best practices available to create the best products available.
I came to San Angelo in the fall of 2008 to attend college at Angelo State University. I graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and Agribusiness. I also received a Master’s Degree from ASU in Animal Science. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for roughly 6 years; before starting at J-Bar in the spring of 2022.
